I really enjoy listening to music. I like soul, jazz, reggae, hip-hop, classical, latin, pop, rock, country, etc. You might say that I like it all. What I like most is great lyrics. They are essential to songs that inspire masses of people all over the world. Whenever I read song lyrics I wonder what motivates songwriters to say something, anything. Some of my favorite songs have lyrics about love, life, and sorrow. Put a singer with an amazing voice singing words that inspire or evoke emotion and there go the tears. I hope the songs I write will touch others in the way that I respond to my favorite songs. I play them repeatedly until I know the words to a song from start to finish. Imagine that a stranger will appreciate your lyrics so much that he/she remembers them. It's like leaving your mark, forever.
